Reigning English Premier League and UEFA champions Manchester United moved closer to repeating last seasons accomplishments, advancing to the Champions League final in Rome, and only four points shy of clinching the EPL title yet again. Could this be another dream season for the Kings of Europe?

The Red Devils went into the Emirates Stadium leading 1-0 on aggregate scoring from the first stage of the semi-finals of the Champions League. John O'Shea scored the lone goal at Old Trafford. This was enough to catapult United with just the edge they needed going into the Emirates stadium.

Cristiano Ronaldo and company went into the Emirates with one goal, coming out on top. The Red Devils started off shaky, Arsenal came in pounding the ball for the first seven minutes. All went Manchester's way once Ronaldo sent a rocketing pass causing Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs to slip and fall in the penalty area, resulting in Ji-Sung Park's goal in the eighth minute.

Just three minutes later, Ronaldo unleashed a 40 yard free kick that soared to the back of the net just past the fingertips of Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia. Ronaldo was not done just yet.

Sixteen minutes into the second half, the Red Devils went on a counterattack of Arsenal, Ronaldo sent the ball flying to the speedster Park, Park sent it over to Rooney, Rooney crossed it back over to Ronaldo. Ronaldo unleashed yet another beauty past Almunia, No. 25 of the season, to put United on top 3-0.

Robin Van Persie scored the lone goal of the series for Arsenal due to the red card of United's Darren Fletcher's challenge on Cesc Fabregas. As a result, Fletcher will miss the final against Barcelona in Rome. Manchester United have filed an appeal with UEFA but it was not overturned.

In the EPL, Manchester United beat local rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford 2-0, Sunday. Ronaldo scored off a free kick in the twentieth minute after Dimitar Berbatov was fouled. Berbatov was not done just yet; just before halftime, Berbatov sent a powerful ball down to Carlos Tevez, who had been on a long break, and put it in the back of the net putting United up 2-0.

The second half was quiet. City tried to spark a few scoring opportunities, but United goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar kept them out the net, while his team pounded the ball the other way offensively.

Manchester United are only four points from clinching the EPL title for the third straight season. The Red Devils can clinch the title this Saturday with a win and a draw. The schedule includes another Lancashire derby with Wigan on Wednesday and Arsenal at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils are preparing for the road to Rome. They will be defending their "Kings of Europe" title against Barcelona who beat Chelsea 1-1 on aggregate. Barcelona propelled into the final because their goal was tiebreaker for scoring away at Stamford Bridge in extra time.

By the looks of the scenarios, Manchester United are closer and closer to completing yet another dream season. But the question is, can the Kings be dethroned?

John Cena Q&A: ‘12 Rounds’
March 24, 2009, 9:12am
Automobiles, streetcars and ferryboats are transformed into potential weapons of mass destruction in “12 Rounds” starring wrestling idol John Cena. In the movie, Cena plays everyday cop Danny Fisher in New Orleans struggling to save his kidnapped girlfriend from a revenge-seeking criminal. The revenge embroiled Fisher in a cat-and-mouse chase of “12 Rounds” in the city of New Orleans. As each round nears to a conclusion, the tasks keeps Danny guessing at every treacherous turn, hurtling the determined cop through the city at a breakneck pace.
Q: Initial reaction to the title was that it was 12 rounds of boxing, but that’s not the case.
A: Everyone gets that idea and they are pleasantly surprised when they find out it’s 12 challenges and not 12 rounds of boxing. I think people will be pleasantly surprised with the movie as well. I don’t know what people are expecting but I think this movie will exceed their expectations.
Q: Can you describe your character in the movie?
A: Danny fisher is just a regular cop, who makes a bit of a lucky bust and knows it. The whole everyman thing is easy, I’m just trying to be me, I like the fact that Danny struggles. He doesn’t come out of a phone booth and stop bullets.
Q: How is this character different from the “Marine”?
A: The “Marine” was more like a terminator character, there is even a line in the movie, “this guys like the terminator.” He’s very impervious to bullets, indestructible, a guy who can’t be defeated. Danny Fisher really is a normal dude. There are moments in the movie were he experiences defeat, doubt, he doesn’t have faith in what he can do. It’s a very normal scenario for someone to go through as opposed to the “Marine,” who is very super human.
Q: How does this movie help in your career as an actor?
A: It’s more than another role for me; this is my initiation into the rarified air of action movie star. Moreover, the film’s Danny Fisher is the type of action hero that I enjoyed watching, as a fan of the genre. The 80s was the era of the ‘everyman’ hero. And there hasn’t been that style of hero since then. Guys like Bruce Willis in ‘Die Hard’ proved that an everyday person can be an action hero. If I’m even considered in that club, I’m definitely off to a great start.
Q: How was it working with Ashley Scott who plays your girlfriend in the movie?
A: Ashley Scott was great, not only is she a beautiful young woman but she’s very fun to be around. The dynamic of the couple is a couple that’s been around for a while, but really, the guy is very gun shy and the girl is very, very independent and fun to be with and she’s just that.
Q: How was it working with the director of “Die Hard 2”?
A: Renny Harlin is a great guy, both personality and professionally. He was so very well prepared that he had the entire movie shot before I got there for pre-production. He had it in his head what he wanted to do with the movie before having even met me. I was fascinated by that, every day, he would come to the set with unbelievable shot lists and people would think that he wouldn’t be able to get it done and he got it done. On a personal level, very, very good guy to know and a very great guy to hang with.
“12 Rounds” opens March 25 in theaters nationwide from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

Fleet-footed step-over merchant Cristiano Ronaldo attracted all the major individual awards last year due to his phenomenal individual goal haul that helped aid Manchester United's Premier League crown and Champions League triumph last season.
This term, though, the player wants to better not only the successes of 2008, but also 1999 as he states there is a positive viewpoint and confident coolness emanating from Old Trafford in United's quest to secure an unprecedented - and historic - quintuple.
"We’re positive about all the competitions we're involved in and we want to win them all," Ronaldo explained to the club's official website. "It would be great to achieve that.
"Last season we won the League and the European Cup, and this year we have the opportunity to do even better. We’ll continue working hard and we believe we can do this."
Manchester United, along with the seven remaining participants in the Champions League, will learn their quarter-final fate on Friday as the draw will be made in Nyon, Switzerland, at 12:00 CET.
British bookmakers such as William Hill recently revealed that they have taken a notable amount of bets from punters who believe United will face Liverpool in the semi-final.
While all the focus seems to be on United's bitter north-west rivals, Ronaldo has instead been carefully watching a potential sleeping giant of European football.
"quick players... Franck Ribery and Miroslav Klose are very impressive.
"Bayern play like a team and they look very difficult to beat," he concluded.Bayern Munich are very strong," he opined. "I watched them play against my old team, Sporting Lisbon, and I was very sad because I did not expect Sporting to lose so heavily [12-1 on aggregate].
"But this can happen in football. Bayern are very good – they have mature players, strong players, quick players... Franck Ribery and Miroslav Klose are very impressive."Bayern play like a team and they look very difficult to beat," he concluded.
